Our Summer!!

We have had the best, most different summer of our lives!! For the last 7 years we have taken an "adult" vacation together every summer, made some fun memories, whether it be on a Cruise ship, Mexico, Vegas or the beach in Florida we have had some fun times!! This year was different, there was no laying out on a cruise ship, drinking daquiris at the pool swim up bar, playing blackjack in Vegas on the strip.... but it was by far the BEST summer ever! We finally have this sweet face to share our days with!!!

She has made this summer so fun for us even on the nights she decided she didn't want to sleep we still woke up SO excited for her to wake up, reach her arms up to us and get her out of her crib!!! I am keeping this blog as a sort of scrapbook for her to read one day, so Brooklynn here are just a FEW pics of some fun things we did this summer ;) our first summer with a baby girl to love on!!

You went to your first Spring Football Game - of course Abby went with us! I love my two Panther Princesses!

You laid out at the pool a lot with mommy at the beginning of the summer... towards the end it got a little bit too warm for you to be out much! Gotta love HOT Texas summers!

You hung out at Hawaiian Falls (our local waterpark) with Mommy and your cousins and friends!!!

You went to your first of many baseball banquets... the high school girls love you as much as I know you will grow up loving them!!!

Oh my gosh, you hung out at the lake more than any other baby I think this summer and you LOVED IT!

We went out to eat a LOT this summer of course, many good suppers with our dear friends and neighbors, your Aunt Steph and Uncle Jerod and the kiddos - celebrating Jerods birthday!!

Uncle Jerod loves BABIES! I am so lucky my husband works with great coaches who have become our closest friends!

 Papas house too - especially when Papa feeds you fruit on the porch!!

You got to hang out with your Nana B and Papaw B - you are so lucky to have all your grandparents live so close!!

You love your I Pad - you watch videos and mommy actually has a chance to clean up the kitchen while you are enjoying your shows

You spent A LOT of time at the lake with us, we went to three different lakes this summer with you! We spent a few weekends at our dear friends, The Moores, Lakehouse....  we had so much fun with you there! You are a really good baby girl!! One of the days a lot of the coaches kids and Abby came too... everyone had a blast!

My sweet mom (Nana!) treated us all to a week at the beach in Galveston!! It was a fun family vacation for my sister and I and our families (we missed you Yvonne!!) We all were sharing one condo so by the end of the trip I thinke everyone was ready for their own room :)!! But we had a great time and made fun memories with our kids!!!

Mommy and Daddy went to San Antonio for Coaching School... its a big coaches convention in the state of Texas, a lot of Coaches Wives from Midlo go.  We all get our own room and stay together and hang out while the boys are at clinics or what not and then at night we all get together for supper and just fun nights out.  I have gone every year since Justin has been coaching and I love it, it is a nice little get away for us.  Now that we have a baby I think get aways like this are very healthy ;) Thanks to my sister and my mom we were able to get away and they kept Brooklynn for us!!

And then Summer ends for the Blackwell family and Daddy goes back to work .... He goes back in mid July pretty much to start football stuff.  He is always so ready, he loves football season, we all do but we really miss him too when he is gone :) Here are a few pics from the start of football season!
